Original painting by Paul Gauguin, 1896, now held at Ordrupgaard in Copenhagen. Painted in Tahiti, it portrays Jeanne Goupil, known as Vaïte, the daughter of a French settler, and is believed to be Gauguin’s only commissioned portrait.
